What makes our pork different than mass produced pork?
Our pigs are raised free to roam in woodland, the pigs’ natural habitat.
We use old English breeds which mature slower than the supermarket breeds that are
specifically bred to gain weight fast (not for flavour). Our pork takes 6 months
minimum to reach the kill weight where as supermarket pork will be killed after 3
months. Our animals eat a lot of their natural diet which reduces farm inputs and
adds to their flavour. Because they are under stocked they are happy and healthy
which means the VET rarely has to call.
